Mission Statement: PDF Print E-mail

101st Tactical is a small clan composed of competitive, serious gamers. Our plan for victory is based on communication, teamwork, development and implementation of specific strategies, timing, and raw skill. The bottom line -- we play to win. Our members understand that different games, different maps, and different opponents call for unique strategies and tactics to optimize our chances for victory.

While not all of our members compete on gaming ladders, all of them are held to our high standards of gaming. We do not claim to be the best. There is always someone better. But we promise all of our opponents that we will always bring our "A game" into combat and if they do not do the same they can expect to be crushed.

Camping? Spawn suppression? Noob tubes? All snipers? Whatever you've got for us we are willing to go up against. If it's not a glitch then bring it on. In fact, the more effective your strategy the happier we are. To us, tactical team shooters are like chess matches. It's just unfortunate that so many we encounter in public rooms only know how to play checkers.

It all began with Star Wars: Battlefront, when a group of us began playing together for the first time. We had all become members in a clan that was built around Unreal Tournament for the PC, but had begun to expand into the PlayStation 2 with this game. It was here that friendships were made that would endure many shake-ups.

Star Wars: Battlefront or SWBF is a first or third person video game based around battles featured in the Star Wars films. It was developed by Pandemic Studios and LucasArts, and released on September 21, 2004, for PlayStation 2, Xbox, and Microsoft Windows.

Star Wars: Battlefront encompasses battles between four main factions from both the original and prequel trilogies: the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems of the prequel era, and the Rebel Alliance and Galactic Empire of the classic trilogy. However, factions can only play their historical adversary; there can't be any Rebel vs. Separatist fights, for example. Within each faction, five different classes of characters become available. Four of the classes are fairly similar for each faction: a basic infantry soldier (a Super battle droid for the Separatists), a heavy weapons soldier, a pilot, and a sniper. Each faction also has a special fifth unit with unique abilities and weapons.

In the game, both factions have a set amount of reinforcements (respawns), and the team to use all of them first, loses. A faction can also win by possessing all of the command posts for twenty seconds.
